Wembley Downs sits north west of the Perth CBD, and is considered an inner suburb of the city. It is just 10km from the central city, making it the perfect area for those community to jobs or study within Perth or nearby northern suburbs. The name Wembley Downs originated from the name of the suburb’s major golf course – which still stands as a big attraction for those in the area and beyond.
There is one primary school within Wembley Downs and several in neighbouring suburbs, and the prestigious private Hale School is also situated within the area. There are several nature reserves within Wembley Downs, as well as easy access to recreational facilities and sporting activities. The suburb offers all the usual amenities, and ‘The Downs’ shopping centre is a local staple. Wembley Downs doesn’t have its own train station but there are several very close by, including Stirling and Glendalough stations.
